Tenrikyo Ofudesaki - Places Where God's Truth is Conveyed -

Convey My WillWe should not be surprised that "places where God's truth is conveyed" is a yet another metaphor; one that would have been literally readily understood locally but which only appears once in the poems; possibly because the local literal understanding was so strongly ingrained that it ruled out identifying it as the  metaphor that it is intended to be.

"Places where God or a god appears" naturally brings to mind an actual place in the environment usually one marked by the presence of a structure, church, statue or shrine of some design. In these poems however the place where God "resides", another metaphor, or is revealed is at the "heart" and "core" of our own mind. Getting us to totally calm our mind, turn our intention inward and identify what the metaphors used in the poems are pointing to by identifying them in our own mind is what this talk is about.

What do you think this talk is about?
I am hastening for the places where God's truth is conveyed.
