Miki awakened in 1838, this poem was written thirty or so years later in 1869. This poem provides us with an opportunity to take advantage of an honest forthright parental insight into the way in which clinging to worldly common expectations and truths of the world make it inevitable that we will misunderstand the teaching that reveals the true parental heart, the true origin of the mind.
