Tenrikyo-Ofudesaki - Sure Guide: I Exhaust My Mind In Every Kind of Way

I exhaust my mind in every kind of wayThese two poems offer much to ponder and add to our understanding of the intention of our original parent's mind.

First: We can reflect on the example shown in this exhaustive effort in the fact that along with the various services taught to the Nakayama family and villagers from the surrounding area in a particular time and place, all of whom had expectations that reflected various levels of spiritual maturity, that our original parent is willing to engage with us at our own level and in ways appropriate for our current time, place and level of spiritual maturity.

Second: These poems provide us with the opportunity to ponder over the means for extending this teaching to the world  in all times and places and levels of spiritual maturity. This I think involves pondering what it actually means when we are taught that our original parent loves all of us equally and teaches us all without discrimination. It is here that we get to the intention of our parent of origin to gather together and train intermediaries or "timbers" with the intention that they quickly ponder, know and understand the true origin of the human mind. For example, through the work of this Service of quickly pondering the meaning and intention of the poems so that new paths of single-hearted salvation can be opened for the minds of the world.

Third: Though adherence to the original model means that were intended to be appropriate for a particular time and place is by no means wrong, it is a mistake to assume that the original models shown are the only means of going out to the world. To accomplish that work requires the sincere efforts of "timbers" who are willing to do the work on behalf of the parent to discover and use all means to awaken the minds of the children.

Because of my love for all my children.
I exhaust my mind in every kind of way.
I desire to teach everything to you children quickly.
Take notice of this hastening in the mind of God!
