Tenrikyo-Ofudesaki - The Reality Seen-
The name Moonsun "Tsukihi" is a beautiful poetic metaphor for all that is. It captures in a single name original cause, periodic change, reflective appearance and totality of identity of all that is, was or ever will be; including our own self-centered imaginings. All in all a rather exalted lineage for us all.
Some topics come to mind to think deeply about while leaning on that original conscious foundation:
All that exists, this universe, is a single conscious being.
Being entirely conscious of itself, everything at once, is not interesting. There is no detail, it is "tasteless".
To be conscious of something in individual detail requires fine tuning consciousness, filtering it through a conscious instrument.
In our time anything that interacts with its environment is just such a conscious instrument.
We human beings are, through the rather marvelous instrument that is the human self-centered imagination, most interested in the kind of instrument of detail that we are.
Poetically and very neatly this truth has been expressed by the teaching that this universe is the body of God and human beings are things borrowed from God. It is all God, even the self-centered imagination, which explains the indiscriminate tolerance of "the Model of Parental Love". The original consciousness is trying to reason with itself in the guise of a human self centered imagination that needs an upgrade and repair but refuses to return to the manufacturer to get it.
Pondering this truth is a quick and powerful way to realize the truth of it. Even better than pondering it is proving the truth of it through one's own mind. There is no thought of separation in the totally purified "mind like clear water". We are already home but stubbornly don't want to admit it.
Test it for your self through the "mind like clear water" and enjoy the truth of it as the high spirited experience of the joy of life.
